Of a month special ...
And today was no exception, only the first without my hubby. A late brunch. A tiny bit of a celebration cake I made alongside the birthday cake, put aside for today too. This time with coffee fondant icing and sprinkles. We swapped birthday cakes, at the weekend between the six of us.
My recipes of old reminded, while making these cakes, slab cake and biscuits made with custard powder. All the food eaten today, was delicious. I cheated with the veggies today. I did make apple sauce for the first time in years.
A really tasty day.
